Kapil has nearly 16 years of experience in the field of M&A, Insolvency Law, Business Valuations & Asset Sale in India. He is a Registered Valuer and has been involved in various matters including valuation opinion for the first financial services company (Assets worth over USD 5 Billion) referred to IBC by the Reserve Bank of India. Apart from this he has advised on start up fund raise, DRT auctions and non core asset divestments by large corporates. Kapil has also been involved in valuation of various financial services company for various provisions of the companies act and SEBI. He has also valued various Intangibles and Brands and also have valued Arbitration claims for a leading EPC company under IBC. He has worked at senior roles in companies like RBSA, JLL, ICRA and Assets in his professional career and has been involved across practices like valuation, restructuring, corporate finance, M&A and disinvestments. Kapil is also a valuation faculty with ICMARVO and member of the Peer Review Board for the RVO. Kapil is a commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, has a degree in Law and a post graduate degree in Finance from DU. Kapil is certified with High Honors in Advanced Valuation from NYU Stern University and also has FSA level 1 from Sustainability Accounting Standard Board (SASB). He holds a diploma in Islamic Finance Qualification from SII (UK) and certification in International Trade Law & Alternate Dispute Resolution from Indian Law Institute. Sachin is a leading authority in real estate asset valuations in India with over 24 years’ experience ranging from real estate valuations and finance, valuations sector policy and regulatory guidelines, urban sector policy and regulatory framework analyses, city planning, and building architecture. Sachin, in his last role, was Senior Director and Head of Valuations, JLL India. In this tenure with JLL that lasted for 16 years, Sachin oversaw valuations of more than 1,500 large-scale properties (+ >19,500 strata properties), including portfolio valuations and stand-alone real estate asset valuations, best use option studies, feasibility studies, and location consulting. His extensive experience in property valuations covers most asset classes, namely residential, commercial office, retail developments, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions, and industrial properties, among others at varying stages of development ranging from vacant lands, projects under construction, to developed and operational properties. All of these valuations were based on varying techniques, while adopting the International Valuation Standards (IVS) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Valuation Standards and Guidelines. He features in the global list of RICS Trained Assessors. Sachin has a Post-graduate Diploma in Banking and Financial Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Sciences (India), Masters Degree in Urban Planning from School of Planning and Architecture (India), and Bachelors Degree in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture (India). Sachin has also recently successfully passed the required assessments of the RICS Arbitration Programme for India jointly organized by RICS and Link Legal.
